New Garage Door Opener

It is installed - it looks better than the old one, works better than the old one and now has a light. All that is left is paying for it!!!!!!!!!!!

The old one

and the new one.  I must do some tidying of the wires but it works - that is the important thing.

  1. Looks good. I could do with one of those on our front door, for when I return with arms full of shopping.

  2. Oh yes, very tidy. Best thing since sliced bread, in my opinion!

  3. Susan, does one of the wires need to stay hanging down as an aerial? We have a Merlin, and it has problems too, so it is good to see you have a new one that can replace the Merlin and work well. Cheers from Jean

    1. Jean, he told me that the aerial needs to hang down. Not sure. There are a couple of queries I have and will phone wholesaler today. On reading the manual it should have a new push button for in the garage which also switches the light off and locks the door. I still have the old one from previous door. It also appears that it should have stays to hold it firm. Not paid for yet so will sort this out first.

  4. Phew good thing that got done in good time so your arm was no longer bothered with the heavy garage door. It always seems those things we absolutely need in life are the most expensive.

  5. Form follows function, but this beauty has a lot of form, too. Easy on the eye as well as the arm.

Never forget that electricity is involved in this installation in addition to a garage door off tracks spring which can be under a lot of tension.
