Mt Manaia

On Tuesday April 30th we walked up Mt. Manaia with Doug's two local grandsons aged 16 and 17.  Needless to say they were well ahead of us.    see here

It was another lovely sunny day and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk although my legs were sore for several days afterwards.  As you can see it is an excellent path  mainly made up of many lots of stairs.

  1. I can imagine how much your legs must have ached after all those steps, but what a wonderful view at the top - you must have felt it was well worth all the effort.

    1. The majority of the shots of the view were actually taken from "The Bluff" which is about 2/3 of the way up.

    1. It was my first time and I was a bit apprehensive as everyone told me how hard it is. Not too bad really - took us an hour which was what the board at the bottom said.

  3. Wow, that is a steep climb, but it seems that the view was worth it.

  4. Wow good for you making that climb. With bad lungs, arthritis and only one good eye (easily disoriented) I never would have made it.

  6. The stairs reflect the trees' branches, up and up and up. What a climp and good for you.
