I took a photo of this stream meeting the main one last time we did this walk and the water was barely running.
I didn't go any closer than this as the wind generated by the rush of water was so strong.
and this is the waterfall in December.
The path was running with water.

ReplyDeleteIt was not nearly as bad here in Whangarei as it was further north even though I think there would have been about 200ml of rain over the four days as well as strong winds.

ReplyDeleteI gather we had nearer to 400 mls of rain in the four days. One drowning further north and still lots of flooded houses. I got off lightly.

DeleteThe force of that water looks quite scary. What a difference 4 days of non-stop rain has made. Glad the sun's come out again at last.
ReplyDeleteDoug walked down by the waterfall but came straight back as the force of water created a strong wind down there. I really appreciate the sun and thank goodness the forecast has some sun till

It's nice to live by running water, but only when it's under control. Our summer has returned today, but for how long I wonder!
