Typical Summer Lunch

Yesterday, my lunch consisted of freshly picked lettuce with some grated carrot and grated cheese, slices of tomatoe, watermelon, and cucumber and roasted red capsicum.  Today, it is the same with the addition of some sliced roast veal and often a hardboiled egg with mayonnaise or some salmon.  Ideal for this weather and delicious.

  1. Yes, way too hot down here. 33.3C the other day, watermelon cubes, and chilled, then a Magnum icecream!!! Too hot for the traditional meat and 3 vege for dinner either, cold salad, cold meat, or savoury boiled egg, filled with chives and mayonnaise, salmon sounds a nice change. Stay cool. Hugs,Jean.

  2. That's even hotter than we have had. I must say I do enjoy a nice fresh salad.
