I haven't posted for a while - the painting is progressing well but slowly as it is fitted in around everything else that goes on from day to day.
Doug's daughter, Christine, was "babysitting" a bichon frise dog for the weekend and met us for a walk at the Town Basin Loop Track.
The "wave"
and the "waka" were looking good in the early morning sunshine.
the little dog enjoyed her walk - apparently, she lives out of town and doesn't usually have walks.
every time I tried to get a photo of them one or the other or both moved!!!
It is hard to predict if a dog will sit still for a picture, no less two of them.
ReplyDeleteOh, how I hate to paint. I look for any reason to put it off. So far it has worked.
I must admit I am not doing any of the painting. Doug is doing it room by room as time allows and Mike the painter will be back again soon so they can tackle the lounge ceiling together.
DeleteI do the other jobs such as keeping the food flowing, cutting around the edges of the carpet to make it easier to paint the skirtings
I know which dog I prefer, but I shan't say. You all look well wrapped up, it's funny to think of you lot having winter.
ReplyDeleteYes, it stayed fine but the wind was bitter. Snow to fairly low levels in the south.
DeleteLove those statues. I wonder if they come in miniature :)
ReplyDeleteThey are by Christ Booth see here: http://www.chrisbooth.co.nz/view-works/
DeleteGreat sculptures or statues, the wave looks like hands crossed. And a dog to talk walking, good idea.
ReplyDeleteThe sculptures are by Christ Booth see above. We walk Sophie, the Labrador, every day but this was the first time for the Bichon Frise who has now returned home.
ReplyDeleteA lovely day for a walk. Glad the painting's going well. Had a lovely sunny day here too.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was great - luckily the rain held off although it was quite cold. Kitchen should be finished today.
