Holland Day

Saturday was Whangarei's third annual Holland Day and we joined in the celebrations.

                                                There was Indonesian Dancing

and a show by artists of Dutch descent

                                

These two girls made out of copper would have been a couple of feet or more high.

La Loupoite - 2nd show

After watching the first show we went into town for a quick meal and returned just as the second show started.

Quite a few photos - I hope I haven't doubled up on any.  It was a great show.

I happened to notice a small advert for the acrobatic sailboat La Loupoite which put on two shows yesterday afternoon and then repeats them today.

We went to see the shows yesterday.  The first was "The Sailors" - they were very accomplished and we noticed in particular the arm strength of the girl.

The weather was perfect once again.
