I always like to have at least one vase of flowers in the house, usually on the dining table. Just as the vegetables we eat change with the seasons so do the flowers in the vase.
This week's vase consists of Buddleia flowers, Alstroemeria, Yarrow, Garlic Chive flowers, Lovage flowers and a dahlia and I am pleased with the result.
We have Daffs.
ReplyDeleteVery nice too. We have a while to wait for them.
DeleteA lovely colourful arrangement.
ReplyDeleteYes, I didn't know whether i would find enough flowers but was pleased with this.
ReplyDeleteI love the dahlia peeking out at the bottom!
ReplyDeleteI liked that little extra as well. :)
DeleteI stopped having cut flowers in the house, years ago, they are a luxury, I don't like to cut flowers from our garden. It is nice to see them inside, they do brighten everywhere up.
ReplyDeleteI usually manage to find enough flowers for at least a small vase all year although last year I did buy a couple of small bunches of chrysanthemums at the Market which made a nice change. It goes against the grain to buy flowers when I have a garden and I can't usually see where they have been picked from
