PAINTING

In my last post I mentioned that Doug was painting.  This time it was not art but painting doors and a gate.  After the drive was done the gate would not close so we turned it around to open the other way.  Doug made the gate after he bought the property at the end of 2008 and part of it was made from ply and that needed replacing.  We decided on a complete change of colour and are both pleased with it.

The front door was the same brown

and there were two paint splattered stools that we wanted to use as side tables that are now the same colour.

We are very pleased with it all and I am sure more items will be painted as well.

  1. Doors, gate and stools all look great, love that deeper shade.

  2. Now that is a lovely colour! You don't need a camouflaged gate apart from anything else.

    1. We thought the colour would look good but it has exceeded our expectations.

  3. Sounds just like my hubby, gets a paint brush in his hands and doesn't stop.

  4. Oh yes, the colour is much nicer!! And just what we would do, paint everything in sight the same colour!!! A few years ago it was dark green. K painted the gates, outside tables and chairs plus a few miscellaneous items. All nice and fresh. Now they all need a repaint

    1. It is also a new brand of paint and, according to Doug, much better and easier to apply.
