The weather was not the best but it was nice to just sit and watch the squally showers, some with thunderstorms. What I needed was time to do nothing and recharge the batteries and that is what I had.
On the morning of our departure the weather had improved (c'est la vie)
This last photo was taken looking up the harbour.
I think your sunrise photo would win a competition!
ReplyDeleteThank you, kind sir - it is actually a sunset.
DeleteMaybe, that's because you're upside-down.
DeleteMust be.
DeleteGood shot!
ReplyDeleteSunrise, sunset - always a joy to witness.
ReplyDeleteThe grey skies look a lot like ours have been today. Love the picture of the sunset
ReplyDeleteMy wife Chrisitine and I have enjoyed exactly the same views here in the Hokianga - its a great place.
ReplyDeleteGoing by car and then walking out to the headland to the left of your pictures and watching the Hokianga Bar breaking in stormy weather is also something to behold!
Went out there on the last day - the weather had improved by then.
