Doug is working on the finishing touches for the new cat run to keep Kim safe today and will then start work on painting and enlarging the lounge.
So I will be moving from this
to this
On the right is a deck off the lounge and Doug will incorporate this into the lounge - something he had always intended to do. The house was built for the local constable in the days when there were such things. Next to the front door was a cupboard where all his "police items" were stored.
That was quick! Well done. Now the ghastly bit.... moving. I hope it goes smoothly for you.
ReplyDeleteYes, before the moving is all the work Doug wants to do on his house. Four weeks will fly.
DeleteWonderful news Susan, and so fast. I guess you have already done a lot of sorting, packing, and partly moving. So many good wishes to you both. Maybe you will take a few favourite plants as well, and I hope your weather is warmer than what we had this morning.
ReplyDeleteYes, a lot still in boxes following the redecoration and every time a car goes from here to Doug's without Sophie in the back there are boxes or pots etc moved. Lovely and cool here today - it has been 29 - 31 for what seems ages and finally yesterday a shower of rain but I see cracks in my lawn where I have never seen them before.
DeleteI hope you and Hugh are doing O.K.
Bless your new nest! Have a smooth move and Kim likes her new home.
ReplyDeleteThank you - most important that Kim settles in.
DeleteCongrats Susan..all the best with the move. I hope it all goes smoothly.
ReplyDeleteThanks Julia. At least a lot is still packed from the decorating and some items have already been moved.
DeleteSue that's brilliant news. All the best for the future x
ReplyDeleteThank you Molly, I hope you are doing all right. Take care.
DeleteCongratulations, Susan. A quick sale relieves stress.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is amazing how stressed I was feeling with the sale being conditional. A weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
DeleteThat is good news, so pleased - this year should be good for you both.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rosemary. Yes, things are looking good but busy over the next few months.
DeleteIt must be so exciting to move house, we have lived in our Maisonette since 1965 and probably will never move until we pop our clogs, lol

Wow, that is the year I moved to New Zealand. Don't know about moving being exciting but I am looking forward to the next stage of my life - a lot to do in the meantime though.
DeleteWell done on the sale - good times ahead!
