TOTARA PARKLANDS

Once again, we had a wet weekend but on Monday morning the sun was out first thing.  Unfortunately, at 9.30 a.m. when our Parkinson walk was due to start the clouds re-appeared and rain started.  The decision was made to have our caffeine fix first and keep an eye on the weather.

Luckily, the clouds parted and we had a very pleasant walk alongside a small stream behind a subdivision.

It looks like we are going to have rain again at the weekend.  Fingers crossed for a dry Monday morning.

  1. Our oppressive heat has now gone, and we're back to around 25 C max days. We still manage a short swim every day, but the water temperature is falling rapidly. I think we might close-down the pool earlier this year.

  2. 25C sounds a good temperature. When do you usually close down the pool.

  4. It looks a very pleasant place for a walk. It's amazing how many times it's bright in the morning till the very moment a walk is planned

    1. When Max and I moved to Whangarei this was a farm and we nearly bought a house overlooking it. It is now a large subdivision but the walk behind it alongside the stream is very pleasant and was sheltered from the wind that day. You are right about the change in weather.

  5. I'm sure that Rain sometimes wanders around looking for an event to disrupt. I mean, why does it always rain just as school gets out? LOL
Hope your Mondays will always be fine :)

    1. When the lady who started this group ran it we very rarely had to cancel. It was amazing how Mondays used to always be fine :)
