Today's Parkinson walk was along the Shared Pathway towards Kamo. on Friday the final part to Kamo was opened so we were able to have a longer walk.
Once again the weather gods were looking down on us. At the start of the walk a wisteria was in full bloom
This is an old rail bridge repurposed from somewhere further south as part of the walk.
A kowhai flowering.
Doug didn't come on the walk as he thought it would be too far. He stayed home and our new Lawnmowers came and mowed the lawns as Doug has finally agreed that it would be a good idea.
Your weather looks good. A bit 'changeable' here, but there's always a part of the day when we can get out and about.
ReplyDeleteWe have been lucky with our walks but it is Spring and a bit variable.
ReplyDeleteGood to see the Kamo Path opened at last
ReplyDeleteIt is such a great asset to the Town.
DeleteWisteria and kowhai are both beautiful. So colourful. Glad to hear Doug is taking it easier. Best to you both
ReplyDeleteThank you. Lovely to see the spring colour.
DeleteWhat a lovely pathway for a walk in beautiful surroundings. That flat, smooth surface would be ideal for my creaking knees, which really don't like even gentle slopes much now.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a lovely path although goes slightly uphill. Barely notice it until one turns around and is going downhill.
DeleteWhat a great way to re use a bridge. Doug, that makes such good thinking to have someone mow the lawn.We have a lady do housework for 2 hours each week, and a friend and her son do the heavy gardening.Next thing will be to mow the lawn when Hugh cannot manage it.I am so thankful for the help.
ReplyDeleteDoug has always refused to get someone in to mow the lawns so I organised it straight away when he suggested it.
Deletesecond thoughts, many of our neighbours have huge Kowhai trees that are in full bloom
ReplyDeleteThey are a lovely sign of spring.
DeleteThe kowhais are flowering here too. So pretty :)
ReplyDeleteSpring coming.
