Today we went to the Whangarei Town Basin for a coffee and I finally remembered to take my camera. There were occasional gusts of cold wind but it was, as usual, a lovely place to sit and take in the sights.
Cro - and there is free parking as well. Not like last time we were in U.K. when men would appear at carparks in the most remote places wanting payment for parking.
Molly and Cro: I haven't realy noticed either litter or graffiti at the Town Basin. However, Whangarei does have a strong policy on graffiti and it is painted out pretty promptly, and I very rarely see any unless it is in the process of being painted over.
Where are all the drunks, rubbish, and grafitti? It doesn't look like any town I've ever visited. If only Europe were thus!

ReplyDeleteSue the pictures are lovely - so glad you had a nice day out. Like Cro says - isn't it refreshing to find somewhere free of litter and graffiti.
