Today we went to the people in the Park day at Kensington Stadium in aid of Hospice.
There were these delightful animals for the children to ride. They pushed on the pedals to make them go.
These balloons in a paddling pool looked good and were very popular.
Then there were several Bouncy Castles
and a large water slide and small merry-go-round
The Segways were also very popular
Someone had large kites for hire. This one is very high up.
Then there was the entertainment
The Firebrigade and Ambulance were also there and a helicopter.
Doug the Digger was there. It was great to watch the expressions on the children's faces as they worked the digger to lift the stick from the two cones on the left and then onto the sticks inserted in the cones on the right.
The Police were there complete with horse.
There were also numerous stalls and we came home with some smoked salt with garlic and spices, some excellent beeswax polish and homemade apricot jam.
It was an enjoyable couple of hours and took my mind off the Nursing Home for a short while where I have been having trouble with various aspects of Max' care.
Does Doug the Digger work abroad? I could use him right now!
ReplyDeleteThat young lad was really good with the digger.
ReplyDeleteLots of imaginative entertainment features for the young people. I particularly like those hop along animals which look to be great fun.
ReplyDeleteThe children will remember the day! I hope your care standards will be crystal clear and attended to.
ReplyDeleteBeeswax polish is the best!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of the nursing home issues, must be very hard on you! Love Leanne
What a lovely fun time out. Hope the Hospice raised lots of money too. So sorry for all the worry you're having at the Nursing Home. Hope things improve soon. xx
