Susan no rain here, no green leaves much at all, and yes, I have watered the veges, some flowers neglected, keeled over,we had a very short shower yesterday!!! Hope for some very soon. Cheers from Jean
Gosh, that is serious drought, Susan. it's bad enough in the garden, but must be devastating for the farmers. I wish I could send you some of our snow.
My cousin in Tauranga said how bad the drought is. They grow a lot of vegetables and it's getting quite serious. Hope you get your showers soon. We had snow here today. PS she said to tell you she loves reading your blog.
Yes, the drought is over most of the country. I hope the snow where you are is not quite as bad as Wrexham has it. Hopefully, the hospital trips have now stopped.

ReplyDeleteJean, we have had the odd 3mm or so shower but this has been followed by a drying wind. Let's face it, the majority of the country needs rain.
DeleteWish I could mail you some of this Oregon rain, poor lawn.
ReplyDeleteIt would be great if you could. It will take a lot for the lawn to recover.

ReplyDeleteYour snow is amazing for this time of year. Just had photos from family in Wrexham.
DeleteThe Wrexham area had MUCH more snow than us, a really phenomenal amount for so late in the winter.
DeleteWe just checked out the 10-day forecast; last night - nothing in sight... gosh its dry.
ReplyDeleteAt least I don't have stock to worry about. I hope you are managing with feed.

Deletejust a couple of mm here yesterday on the hill above Whanganui, and nothing in the city.
ReplyDeleteScary reading about the snow back home and in Wales, where friends in Pembrokeshire are burning wood that was due to be used in October....
Your lawn should revive in time. More important to water those vegs. I think we have some rain forecast; otherwise it's perfect spring weather here.
ReplyDeleteFrom your photos your weather looks wonderful. Long time till spring here!!!
DeleteWe'll have to start saying Long Time No Rain!
ReplyDeleteWe're just hoping for sun over here after rain, wind and snow. Hope it falls soon for you.
ReplyDeleteLove from Mum
