When is it going to rain????

The above photos are of the lower part of my lawn.  Just heard that no rain is likely for at least another fortnight.

I have been watering every day to keep the flower and vegie beds alive but the lawn has been left to fend for itself.

    1. Jean, we have had the odd 3mm or so shower but this has been followed by a drying wind. Let's face it, the majority of the country needs rain.

    1. It would be great if you could. It will take a lot for the lawn to recover.

  3. Gosh, that is serious drought, Susan. it's bad enough in the garden, but must be devastating for the farmers. I wish I could send you some of our snow.

    1. Your snow is amazing for this time of year. Just had photos from family in Wrexham.

    2. The Wrexham area had MUCH more snow than us, a really phenomenal amount for so late in the winter.

    1. At least I don't have stock to worry about. I hope you are managing with feed.

  5. My cousin in Tauranga said how bad the drought is. They grow a lot of vegetables and it's getting quite serious. Hope you get your showers soon. We had snow here today.
PS she said to tell you she loves reading your blog.

    1. Yes, the drought is over most of the country. I hope the snow where you are is not quite as bad as Wrexham has it. Hopefully, the hospital trips have now stopped.

  6. just a couple of mm here yesterday on the hill above Whanganui, and nothing in the city.

Scary reading about the snow back home and in Wales, where friends in Pembrokeshire are burning wood that was due to be used in October....

  7. Your lawn should revive in time. More important to water those vegs. I think we have some rain forecast; otherwise it's perfect spring weather here.
