AUTUMN

We have been having some wonderful weather - some rain but it was needed.  these photos were taken a week or so ago.

The large tree in my garden has just about lost all its very small leaves now.  They get everywhere and even travel several kilometres to Doug's house.

A shaded part of my garden that gets neglected - not sure of the name of the yellow flower - I also have the red and pink.

This Luculia is just below the camelia above , the perfume is devine.

Autumn colours when walking Sophie in the park

Back to my garden - the tropical frangipane is still flowering.

They have been having snow storms in the South Island and it is 9 degrees C in my porch right now.  Off to walk Sophie (Doug's labrador) on a friend's property shortly.  Will need lots of layers!!

  1. Lovely photos. You've been having better weather than we have down here! But the last few days have been stunning. Long may it last.

    1. We are very lucky up here - we don't really get winter in comparison to the rest of the country. (Hope I am not talking too soon).

  2. Hmmmm!!! Cold here, the last few mornings are at 0 Celsius, or just into the minus... Merino under, middle and top layers till at least 9.30 a.m. Hat, neck warmer tube, even gloves if I venture outside too early. You still have beautiful flowers, and ones with a lovely perfume too, hang onto them for a while yet.

    1. Now that is COLD. It turned into a very nice day and we had a most pleasant walk followed by a cuppa with our friends.

  3. Just warming up here. The pool is now open, temps are around 20-25 C, and my shorts are out for the duration. I'm beginning to feel alive again.
