Yes, I know and I have been lucky twice as Max was very handy and, even though he was an autoelectrician by trade, he did a lot of building work on our property before the dementia set in.
Hi Jean, it is an old verandah being incorporated into the lounge. It wasn't used and should make a good reading room. It will be accessed through what is now the ranch slider.
The weather has behaved so far, although work stopped on Sunday and Monday. Kim the cat has settled well and takes it all in her stride although the dividers to keep Sophie the labrador to her territory will have to remain.
How quickly Doug has completed an excellent job. Building here, even small extensions, take weeks to complete because they are constructed with blocks and rendered with concrete, then have to be given two or three coats of paint.
Doug is a very handy fellow - not the forte belonging to the man of this house.

DeleteDoug is a very busy man. You are very fortunate to have a partner who likes to get things done.

DeleteIt IS coming on nicely! I hope the weather cooperates, it's been so unpredictable. How is your kitty coping with the changes?
