TWO YEARS

Today it is two years since I moved in here with Doug - it took us another two and a half months to arrange our wedding so that anniversary is yet to come.

We have accomplished a lot in that time - well Doug has with my back-up.  Completely forgot about Valentine's Day yesterday until I remembered in the late afternoon as we were driving home from appointments.

This morning I baked some interesting, and tasty, blueberry muffins made with oats, yoghurt, bananas, eggs, baking powder and baking soda  and, of course.  blueberries.  A friend came around and we enjoyed them with a cup of tea.  She brought Luisa plums with her and left with tomatoes.  27 degrees today.  No sign of rain.

  1. Those Plums look very much like Victorias. I wish I had a Victoria here, they are far superior to most French varieties.

    1. They are a delicious plum. I have not had a Victoria for 50 years so can't comment on the similarity.

  2. Seeing the heat you have there reminds me that we shall be probably be sweltering again this year. I really hate the hot weather. Mmm, plums look lovely.

    1. I think I prefer the cold as one can light a fire and put lots of clothes on but the heat is a different matter. Mind you, so far, our winters are quite bearable.

    1. The plums are delicious. We could use some rain although I don't want it just as the peaches start to ripen which should be soon.

  4. My goodness how time flies - love plums, something that I look forward to each year, but in particular damsons.

    1. Yes, I well remember my mother's damson jam. We had just one tree in the garden but it had copious amounts of fruit.

  5. Your muffins sound delicious. I usually don't eat plums in their raw form, but boiled for 20 minutes with some other fruit which make for a wonderful 'compote'.

    1. I am not sure how these ones would go cooked but I must try and see.
