The first garden was mainly bromeliads but was very colourful and it was unusual to see a large bronze statue in such a small garden. There was also lots of pots and garden art.
The second garden was also small and colourful and on the narrow garden at the back of the house used several mirrors to great effect.
Bromeliads look as if they were from outer space. I really like them.
ReplyDeleteThey are popular here and relatively easy care.
DeleteIncredible gardens in nz. My sister in law used to garden on a grand scale and it was my father's passion. Here it's veges that are priority, and s few pots of basil.
ReplyDeleteThese gardens are just amazing
There were some lovely vegetable gardens and orchards as well.
Deletelovely gardens. I'm wary about mirrors in gardens, with birds flying into them...but it does create an impression of greater size
ReplyDeleteIn my last house I had a problem with birds flying into the ranch sliders. I put in net curtains which seemed to help. The garden was very narrow between the house and the fence with the mirrors so I don't know if that would help.
