MORE GARDENS

We went to see more of the open gardens on Sunday.  Here are the first two they were both quite small gardens.

The first garden was mainly bromeliads but was very colourful and it was unusual to see a large bronze statue in such a small garden.  There was also lots of pots and garden art.

The second garden was also small and colourful and on the narrow garden at the back of the house used several mirrors to great effect.

  1. Bromeliads look as if they were from outer space. I really like them.

  3. lovely gardens. I'm wary about mirrors in gardens, with birds flying into them...but it does create an impression of greater size

    1. In my last house I had a problem with birds flying into the ranch sliders. I put in net curtains which seemed to help. The garden was very narrow between the house and the fence with the mirrors so I don't know if that would help.

  5. The amount of love and sheer hard work which has gone into making those gardens is very impressive.
