Oops

Everything was going well until yesterday morning.  Doug was vacuuming the deck outside and I went into the office not realising that he had the vacuum cord pulled tight across the doorway.  It all happened so suddenly.  I came crashing down on my face and my glasses pushed into my nose.  I heard a crack so not sure if nose broken.  I bruised my knee, jolted my poor right shoulder and neck.



It is actually much more colourful than the photo.  Tomorrow I will try and see the G.P. to get it checked.

I had thought it would be nice to have a photo for my 75th birthday in a fortnight but didn't expect one like this.

    Oh my, not what you want at any time is it? It's so easy to fall over and I seem to be so much more aware of this as I get older. I do hope the nose isn't broken and you recover soon.

    THANK YOU ALL for your kind words. The bruising is worse today but the pain not so bad unless I happen to touch it. I am coping without my long distance glasses and just using my reading ones.

    Good god. I'd go to A & E at once. Mind you, as I know myself from experience, there is nothing much can be done for a broken nose but let it heal by itself. Perfect timing for Christmas!

      As you say there is not much that can be done and A & E at the weekend would mean a very long wait for something like that. Emergencies would keep taking precedence and I could have been there for 6 hours, didn't feel up to coping with that.

    You must have got one hell of a shock. You look battered. Hope some of the colouring has disappeared so you do get a decent birthday photo.
    Hope the doctor can help a little and no real damage has been done
