PROGRESS

Yesterday, we did more work on the front (flower) garden.  At the back of the garden is an area of very tall astroemeria and I spent the morning pulling out the dead stems.  While I did this Doug weeded the garden and started to spread the mulch.

These photos were taken at lunch time yesterday.  We were unable to do any more as we were going to neighbours for afternoon tea and then, after feeding the animals, out for dinner at Alzheimers (roast pork followed by mini pavlovas with mixed berries).

  1. You're efficient working people, and it shows in the garden; it looks neat! Progress, indeed.

    1. I hope do. One never knows with gardening, it depends on so many factors.

  3. The edging took my eye, so neat with the curves. Wonderful to have mulch you made yourself, and even with a small garden there is still a lot to do. We are part way in building a small garden kitset shed. The tiny woodshed is almost full with 2 cords, stacked in so well, a little room at the front for some bags of smaller pieces and bark.

    1. Doug made the edging when he moved here. There was very little in the garden. Some flax and not much else.

  4. What is it with Alstroemerias? They are pretty but take over the garden.
