Yesterday 13 of us had a lovely walk from Vinegar Hill Road to the Tikipunga sports fields and back. The autumn colours are starting to show now. We don't get a lot of autumn colour as we have a lot of evergreens here in the north.
It is a lovely park and is where we used to walk Sophie and meet up with other dog walkers.
My main reason for woodland walking in Autumn, is to find mushrooms. Do you find edible mushrooms on your walks?
ReplyDeleteI wasn't looking for them on this walk, didn't even think of it. It has been too dry. When we used to walk Sophie there we often found mushrooms.
DeleteLooks like a perfect day for walking. Beautiful autumn colours
ReplyDeleteIt couldn't have been better. Much needed rain forecast for tomorrow.
DeleteA good mixture of evergreens and autumn colours. A nice walk
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely walk, feels like being in the countryside.
DeleteA beautiful walk, and nice to have some company to walk and talk with.
ReplyDeleteIt was our weekly walk for people with Parkinson's Disease. 13 is a good number, any more can be a bit much at a cafe afterwards.
