CHRISTMAS CARD

We received our first Christmas card of the season today.  It was from a cousin in Toronto but I see it was made in England. Isn't it lovely.

  2. I didn't know the sea buckthorn but, as you say, a lovely image.

  3. I was talking today with an English friends about Xmas cards. It's no longer economical to send them. If we can find cheap ones it's 2 euros for a stamp. I have a supply of cards from years gone by to hang up. Cheating but no one sends them to us either

  4. A card in the post, that is so special, and a beautiful image, one to keep and enjoy always.

  5. Sending cards use to be a thing before the internet and computers, it was nice reading peoples greetings but sadly these days I don't think it's so popular.

  6. Maybe it's a 'Thanksgiving ' card for the 28th. I wonder if they also send birthday cards over a month in advance?

  7. You are lucky to receive it from Toronto as we have a postal strike here and nobody is sending cards (or anything) by mail!

    1. Yes, my cousin said she posted early as she heard there was going to be a postal strike. I am still awaiting a parcel from her sister sent from Nova Scotia.
