I was talking today with an English friends about Xmas cards. It's no longer economical to send them. If we can find cheap ones it's 2 euros for a stamp. I have a supply of cards from years gone by to hang up. Cheating but no one sends them to us either
Sending cards use to be a thing before the internet and computers, it was nice reading peoples greetings but sadly these days I don't think it's so popular.
Yes, my cousin said she posted early as she heard there was going to be a postal strike. I am still awaiting a parcel from her sister sent from Nova Scotia.
Lovely Christmas card! x
ReplyDeleteYes, it is.
DeletePheasants and sea buckthorn in snow...a lovely image
ReplyDeleteI didn't know the sea buckthorn but, as you say, a lovely image.

ReplyDeleteWe still send a few but mainly e-cards.
DeleteA card in the post, that is so special, and a beautiful image, one to keep and enjoy always.
ReplyDeleteI don't like throwing cards out so have quite a supply.

ReplyDeleteI send mostly e-cards but still send some cards out.
DeleteMaybe it's a 'Thanksgiving ' card for the 28th. I wonder if they also send birthday cards over a month in advance?
ReplyDeleteShe has since told me she sent it early as there was about to be a postal strike.
DeleteAh ha!
DeleteYou are lucky to receive it from Toronto as we have a postal strike here and nobody is sending cards (or anything) by mail!
