I had heard about it but never been there. It was wonderful. We started by looking around the garden area then went inside and spent some time in the Gallery before having a delicious lunch.
Yesterday, we had some much needed rain and there was a shower earlier on today but the weather turned out fine.
This table and chairs was made from oak barrels.
This flowering cherry? is just around the corner from our house.
Beautiful Gallery items, loved the lady swinging, and the bird on the stump, is that made of steel? SO glad you had a great day out. Cheers from Jean
ReplyDeleteThe bird was way up on the top of the hill - most likely made of steel but couldn't tell from that distance. It was a wonderful place and, when you head up north, I would recommend it.
DeleteI wish I could grow tree ferns like those. I could pretend to be a pukka gardener!
ReplyDeleteoh it looks beautiful out there! What a lovely way to spend the day, Susan {{hugs}}
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't been there I thoroughly recommend it - it was my first time but am sure it will not be the last.
DeleteLove that table! (But it would need more room than I have in my tiny cottage.) And that bird is magnificent. Yay for a lovely hairdresser! It's good to get out and about!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place, everything you could want from a day out. Sunshine, lovely surroundings, interesting gallery, and a place to eat.
ReplyDeleteWonderful outing for you and your friends, Susan. I really liked the "eagle" statue. Perfect day with a bit of rain then full Sunshine.
ReplyDeleteThe most beautiful of all, I think, is the summer sky and the summer clouds.
ReplyDeleteIt did us all good - Doug, the third member of the party, phoned me later to say how much he enjoyed it and it took him away from his grief for a while.
ReplyDeleteThat looks gorgeous - so glad you had a lovely day out xx
