Town Basin

On Monday our "Parkinson's walk" started at the Town Basin.  The team that look after the gardens around the town do a wonderful job.

I like these natural rocks that have been placed here.

  1. The rocks are nice, and I also like the idea of a giant sundial.

  2. Yes, I am so used to the giant sundial that I didn't even think to mention it. The brass plaques for the hours are moved twice a year for daylight savings.

There is a similar rock a bit further over with a plaque saying who donated it from their property.

  3. All those lovely flowers. It was freezing here last night and today. Can't wait for the spring to come.

  4. They are lovely aren't they. Hope your firewood is lasting and you are keeping warm and dry.

  5. With the grey winter here and a foot or two of snow expected this weekend, it is pleasant to look at your pictures of the colorful flowers.

    1. That is one good thing I always find about blogging - although we do not get winters as you know them it is always good to see photos of spring/summer as we head to autumn/winter.

  6. Those flower beds look so colourful - just what we need in the middle of winter instead of brown mud.

    1. Just blue Salvia, red geranium (or pelargonium) and yellow marigolds (I think) yet they make a great display.
