A while ago he removed the old door and built a new wall. He has now gibbed it in and repainted the bathroom. We also removed the old cupboards and installed a new slimline mirror cupboard and a chest of drawers.
A shelf now holds various shells and pieces of kauri gum and the carved seahorse has been moved in here.
Doug has also made the toilet roll holder and new towel rails. We also had a man in to install a showerdome to reduce the amount of steam in the bathroom, something we are very pleased with. One more room finished.
It looks very nice, Susan.
ReplyDeleteThe main thing is it seems a lot larger and lighter.
DeleteClever man, and his and hers rolls? A great design, Doug could patent that one.
ReplyDeleteSpare roll was his thinking.
Deletegood thinking!
DeleteVery versatile kiwi.
ReplyDeleteI do like your shell shelf. My mother had something very similar on her house
The shells bring memories of many holidays.
DeleteDoug seems to be able to turn his hand to any jobs which need attention in the home. We usually have to call on a 'man who does' to do jobs in our house.
ReplyDeleteWe get someone in for plumbing and electrical and, in this case to install the showerdome.
DeleteLooks great. Doug is ace.
ReplyDeleteHe seems to enjoy doing all these jobs.
