BUTTERFLIES & BEES

We have been very pleased with the plants from the seeds we bought for the butterflies and bees. 


These are the Asclepias - a relation of the "swan plant" above but much more colourful and the Monarch butterflies seem to prefer it.  There are two on the plants below.





Both bees and butterflies like the Tithonia Goldfinger below.

We have had two lovely days of rain and it is wonderful not to have to water every day.  The peaches are starting to ripen as well but they don't like the rain so it is good we have a few rain free days forecast.  Life is good.

    How lovely to have all those monarch butterflies around . Mm and lush ripe peaches . Hope they can grow big and juicy

      The Monarch butterflies are everywhere. They are lovely. The peach tree was self sown and I stew and freeze them as well as eating some fresh

      Because Doug raises the caterpillars in a cage to keep them safe from wasps we have lots of them.

    You can’t help but have have a little flutter in your heart when you see butterfly. I see hundreds every summer, and it and every one is a joy to behold.

    We've been seeing a few monarchs around here, it's nice to see them fluttering around. That Leonotis plant is so colourful

      Not sure which plant you call Leonotis but they are both colourful.

    What a joy to have butterflies and bees fluttering around your pretty flowers. We've had a few monarchs flying around here, they are so beautiful to see.
