On Sunday Doug finished the paling fence. It took him less than a month for the actual fence which is pretty good considering the weather as we have had a lot of rain.
A couple of photos from the neighbour's side. They have the "better" side as it was easier doing it from their drive rather than our garden.
Our side of the fence
We are extremely pleased with it. Once we are sure there are no more creepers coming up we will get some more plants in the garden.
With all the rain we have had, Doug has worked a miracle to get it finished.
ReplyDeleteYes, Jean, he just kept at it. Weird, yesterday, we had visitors in the afternoon and it was very hot then the clouds came up and a wind which cooled everything rapidly. One large clap of thunder, then nothing and it cleared. Have just read other parts of whangarei had heavy downpours and flooding.
DeleteI like your photo showing the long line of the fence and your plentiful plants on your side of the fence. I note the dramatic clouds in your photos.
ReplyDeleteI took the photos, wrote the blog and shortly after the heavens opened. We got the heat "showers" today.
DeleteVery good work indeed!!!! Cracking fence and lovely garden
ReplyDeleteWe are pleased with the fence and will now be able to pay some attention to the garden.
DeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteWe are pleased with it. He worked very hard.
DeleteThat's a very good fence, it looks great.
ReplyDeleteI am sure it is as good as the one we would have paid nearly $9,000 for.
DeleteThat's a wonderful fence. A lot of work. Must be very satisfying for Doug to survey the end result
ReplyDeleteYes, it is better on lots of fronts - sets off the garden and a windbreak to name a couple.
DeleteWell done, Doug. It is looking really good :)
ReplyDeleteWe are thrilled with it. It makes such a difference.
