Last night I first heard them behind our neighbours who are on another street. There was then a quiet period while they came around and up another cul-de-sac before arriving here.
Although I didn't get a photo of them most of the neighbours were outside listening and making donations.
I used to love it when the Sally Army used to come through Shrewsbury market at Christmastime and play carols (big trombone and all) I had a veggie stall there during the eighties. The atmosphere was brilliant and Christmassy.

DeleteI have a lot of time for the Salvation Army, Susan. They do such good work and their carol playing is lovely.
