We have had an extremely wet winter. This is the first year we have had to cancel so many Parkinson walks and, if we have a fine day, I go into Washing mode and usually do three loads so that I can get them line dry.
Spring does seem to be on the way though with freesias and daffodils coming into bloom and it is definitely getting light earlier.
I think I just heard your PM saying that all borders will now be closed until the New Year. Is that right? Quite drastic, but Covid requires drastic measures.
ReplyDeleteStaying as it is I think. Kiwis can still return but have to go into isolation for a fortnight.
DeleteLine drying sheets and clothes makes them smell so fresh. I am in the USA and am fully vaxed and getting tired of isolating and masking. Especially seeing photos of Obama's unmasked party. Different sets of rules.
ReplyDeleteI always line dry when possible (and it usually is). Hadn't heard about Obama's party. No masks here.
DeleteGood to hear that your Spring is on the way, even though I'm well aware that if your end of the see-saw is on the way up, ours is certainly descending.
ReplyDeleteWinter seems to have gone quickly this year although it is not over yet. Of course, as things improve here, as you say they deteriorate there.
DeleteCograts on being fully vaccinated. At least you can move around a little freer
ReplyDeleteYes, we are more likely to go to concerts etc.
DeleteWell done on getting your second jags. It doesn't mean 100% protection, but it is a vast improvement on none, whatever happens.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem to have been a wet winter for you and much colder further south too..
All through our summer it has been..it's sheets wash day, must be Tuesday...now we are heading into Autumn it will be confusing again, hanging on for the dry days!!
Lovely to hear of your spring flowers coming in. xx
Yes, there has been snow and colder further south. Good to have earlier daylight as I don't like rising in the dark.
DeleteI had my 2nd one on Wednesday, good to get it done and dusted, no major side effects other than a sort of sore arm.
ReplyDeleteDoug has a sore shoulder, I am fine.
