We are quite happy staying home and go for our walk around the streets in the morning. It is about 1.75 kms. This is the walk we do.
This morning the teddy bears had made some new signs in this caravan.
and at the Hospice entrance a Kowhai was in flower - a sign of spring although spring is not here just yet.
Almost spring like down here, a very slight frost but gorgeous day. Delta Variant, I see the travellers returning from Auckland to Wellington stopped at BP in Bulls, a little too close to us, but we are safe.I hope there will be less positive cases, but know the likelihood of that is remote.
ReplyDeleteI keep expecting it to turn up here with all the Aucklanders heading to their holiday homes.
DeleteYes, Christmas will be here before we know it, we shall be spending it in Brighton. I do wish this wretched virus would go away.
ReplyDeleteIs that definite now? When do you leave?
DeleteEnd of September, or maybe a bit later. We're having the Kitchen and bathroom re-done, so they need to be finished before we arrive.
DeleteAs you go into Spring there is a definite suggestion that autumn is not too far away here.
ReplyDeleteYes, spring/autumn are not too far away.
ReplyDeleteSome very well informed teddy bears! I hope they're right about being able to stamp out the virus again.
ReplyDeleteLovely that teddy bears are appearing again. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteI just love the kowhai and it's yellow flowers. Beautiful
Yes, it was great to come across the teddy bears and it was the first Kowhai I have seen in flower this year
DeleteI read from a friend in Keri Keri that water testing found traces of sars cov2 in the drains at Warkworth last Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteIt will be lurking everywhere from asymptomatic cases.
Thinking of you all xx
Yes, they are busy testing in Warkworth now.
