This morning 5 of us from the walking group decided to walk along the river. Because of the heat we started half an hour earlier than usual at 9.00 a.m.
It was a lovely walk and nice and cool under the trees. A lot of chatter and a lot of laughter.
The view from the bridge looking back towards our starting point.
One lady has just recovered from a fall so Doug helped her on some parts with loose metal.
We had taken drinks with us and sat at a picnic table in the park next to our vehicles and enjoyed various treats and lots of chatter.
Under the trees is best, we washed outside windows then I scrubbed and cleaned the fence between us and our friends,They have a hedge their side, so ours is pristine and a clear grey again!!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds a lot of work on a hot day. Don't overdo it.
DeleteThat's a lovely place to walk. Beautiful NZ bush. I can imagine it must have been very nice under the trees.
ReplyDeleteWe are so lucky in Whangarei with all the lovely bush walks right in the city/town.
DeleteSuch a wonderful walk. We're just back from a walk around Sheffield in the rain and mist, not quite so nice. But we did go into the Cathedral and saw some fab 19th century buidings and one 15th century hall, sadly surrounded by huge modern blocks. hey ho.
ReplyDeleteSadly no 15th century buildings in New Zealand but the landscape is wonderful.
DeleteIt must have been the day for lovely early walks! I'm so thankful we have such beautiful spots dotted around us that we are free to walk through.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day :)
Yes, Hamilton seems to have as many (if not more) walks than we do.
DeleteIt's certainly been humid lately hasn't it? we were in Whangarei the week of Christmas and it got to 30 deg - so unbearable.
ReplyDeleteYes, it has been really hot lately. Supposed to rain today. It is cooler but no rain so far.
