Obviously, Traffic Control get paid by the cone. This is our street, a short suburban street. I have not been to investigate but it looks as though a hole is being dug near the gutter. I don't think this many cones are really necessary.
I hope they all had a shovel of armpit height to lean on as well.!!! I recently passed a comment to a friend that Cambridge had a cafe at every second shop. His reply, " every second vehicle was a 4WD towing a horse float ". Neither of us saw one orange cone.I wonder why they used so many on your street. Our rain has stopped for now, thanks so much for your email and asking if we were safe and dry.Friendships far apart are as real as if you lived next door.XXX
Giving all the cones they had an outing!
ReplyDeletePossibly
DeleteThey certainly have a serious row of cones there.
ReplyDeleteCould be more cones than than the number of cars a day.
DeleteI wonder if I can buy shares in the firm who make those cones????
ReplyDeleteYes, or scaffolding.

ReplyDeleteJust glad to know you were o.k. Orange cones are everywhere here.
DeleteI think by law and health & safety they have to have the cones there, some people are real idiots in regard to using their common sense.
ReplyDeleteI doubt if they have to be that close together. I just looked and they are further apart today but cover a longer distance.
DeleteIt's jobs for the boys - more cones, means more vans, which means more workers.
ReplyDeleteYes, I suppose it gives more people "work" but is a bit ridiculous.
DeleteThe 'Ministry of Cones' would have been furious had there been any fewer.
ReplyDeleteThey are still there. Put to the side of the road at night and brought out again during the day. Goodness knows what they are doing.
