There were several new signs, this one showing the making of the lake.
We had an enjoyable walk followed by the usual refreshment stop. Unfortunately, our leader who started the walking group about 8 years ago had been in hospital and was not with us for this walk.
After a spell of dry weather we have much needed rain forecast for tomorrow. I have enjoyed being out in the garden over the weekend having been given the all clear by the ophthalmologist.
I am sure that it was very pleasant to make a return visit. Hope that your leader is soon back to good health and finding new venues for you to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteIt is not long since we last did this walk which is a pleasant one and close to town. Unfortunately our leader has a blood disorder and is on limited time.

Yes, it was good to see all the new signs and, even though we have been recently I usually go up the hill on the more difficult walk and this time one of the other ladies volunteered to go so I strolled through the gardens with the majority.

It is always nice to visit the Quarry Gardens. There is a lovely cafe but, unfortunately, it is closed on Mondays when we have our walks. Sadly our leader is on borrowed time.
ReplyDeleteit looks as though you could walk there many times and still find something new. I'm sure it pleases your walks leader to know that you continue to do the walks.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is one of the many walks that we repeat over time. We are so lucky with the number of good walks around here.
