LOCKDOWN

One new case in the community in Auckland so Auckland and Coromandel are going into Level 4 Lockdown for 7 days and the rest of the country for 3 days from midnight with possible extensions. Updates to follow.

Rain forecast so just as well we went to the Library yesterday.

  1. I did a HUGE grocery shop and had a haircut. Did I have an idea this would happen, or just plain practical. The contacts could spread a long way out from Auckland, stay safe up north, and be so glad the library books are on hand.

    1. Yes, it would only take one person to spread it here. We did our weekly shop today but it was smaller than usual. We always have a well stocked freezer and use powdered milk so should be ok for some time. Do take care and stay safe.

  2. Airport and quarantine work are probably not enviable jobs nowadays.
So called Freedom Day in England has caused a rise in cases, so I am glad that we are at least in Scotland, although it means that we will be doubly cautious on our family visiting trip

  3. I hope this Lockdown does the trick. All one can do is be careful and, for us, stay home.

  4. I'm most impressed. One case and you go into lockdown. It's the only way to keep everyone safe until they're all vaccinated.

I hoep your stock of toilet paper will get you through. I see there was a run on that, again. Laughable!

    1. We forgot to get any, but we are not low. On the news everyone leaving the supermarket had huge packs.

  5. On our way home last night, every supermarket we passed had a packed carpark. So many people panic buying again.
Stay safe - and I am glad you have plenty of loo paper!!!

    1. We haven't been outside our property except for our morning walk around the streets and no sign of anyone, so haven't seen supermarkets here. Stay safe.
