WALK REOTAHI TO LITTLE MUNROE BAY

Today's Parkinson walk was from Reotahi to Little Munroe Bay and back.  Rain had been forecast but it was a lovely day.  There was an oil tanker being manoeuvred out and we stopped and "supervised"

Meanwhile down in the South Island there is major flooding with the Island cut in half due to road closures and in some places people will only be able to get out by helicopter until at least Friday.

  1. That is a beautiful place to walk, and quite a contrast to the flooding on South Island.

    1. It is a lovely walk. Further to drive than our other walks. 33 kms. But we carpool

  3. That looks like a lovely walk to do. When we were at Mt Maunganui I used to sit and watch the ships coming in and leaving the port, and always found it exciting to see them.

  5. Beautiful walk - and very different from what's available here at present. Just heard about the Whakaari eruption and pray that the figures for the dead and injured does not get any worse.

    1. It is all very isolated - after driving though the deluge on Saturday we had very little here in Tikipunga.
