This morning I managed to get my borage seedlings potted up and four of the six tomato seedlings planted as well as removing the lower leaves on the larger tomatoes before it was time to go to the gym. We haven't been for the past two weeks and also missed several others as well as it being closed during lockdown.
Anyway, there was a good crowd as we were going to a local cafe, Narnia's, for our Christmas lunch. There are two gym classes but we only go to the Sunday one and I think there were 18 of us for lunch. We sat with a friend and her husband that we have not seen for some time as she was not at the class we did manage to attend.
We had what we always do at this cafe. Doug had snapper (fish) and chips and says it is always delicious and I had a lamb salad as it is gluten free and also delicious. I think we got home about 1.30 p.m. and we then moved the inversion table from the back porch into the spare room so that we can put the Christmas tree up in the back porch. (where it usually sits in the sunroom now has a bed).
Time to water the garden now. Hopefully, we will get some decorations up tomorrow afternoon. It is the Parkinson Walk in the morning.
I selected my tree yesterday, but won't cut it down for a while. Somehow, with all the problems we're having, I don't feel very festive.
ReplyDeletePerhaps putting the tree up will make you feel more festive.
DeleteI love seeing the lights of a Christmas tree through a window on a dark night. Yours in the porch will be wonderful. We had to move ours away from the window this year because of a change of furniture.
ReplyDeleteOurs was by a window before. I think it will be good in the porch.
DeleteI can't imagine what it's like to have Christmas in the Summer.

Briony, I have been here 55 years ( where has the time gone) and it still doesn't feel like Christmas.
DeleteLooks like you have a lovely roomy porch for your tree. I hope you will show it to us when you have decorated it :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully, before too long.
DeleteLove getting the tree up, helps to put one in the spirit of things.
ReplyDeleteYes, as the saying goes - it is starting to feel a lot like Christmas....Hope to get the decorations up tomorrow, time permitting.
DeleteWe still don't have our tree up, I think B is procrasting somewhat over that one.
