The re-roofing of the Back Porch has been put on hold due to other things taking precedence and some strong winds. The latest was the funeral yesterday for the lady who started and ran the Parkinson Walking Group.
Anyway, today Doug has been able to get back on the job. First he put up the noggins on the new part and has just finished removing the old clear lite roofing.
Doug is doing a wonderful job. Is he working all by himself?
ReplyDeleteYes, he prefers that. Actually, just as he was about to finish a lad visiting the young couple who recently moved next door called over the fence to see if he would like a hand. I have offered as well and a local grandson.
DeleteDoug must really love doing this type of job around the house - my husband doesn't.
ReplyDeleteYes, Doug enjoys it although I expect that he was getting a bit tired of it at the end of the day yesterday after going up and down the ladder "hundreds" of times.
DeleteWhat is a noggin? I thought that was a nickname for your head.
ReplyDeleteA noggin is a short piece of timber between two studs also known as a dwang. (or a head)
DeleteI wish I had a Doug in my life.
ReplyDeleteLots of people do. I am the lucky one,.
DeleteHe's doing a grand job.
ReplyDeleteYes, it will be great when finished.
DeleteHe's doing good, we haven't really had any wind here, funny despite we're about an hour away.
ReplyDeleteWindy again today.
DeleteThat will be a nice addition / re-roofing when done. Doug is going a great job I can tell.
ReplyDeleteWe have decided not to go to the gym tomorrow so that he can get some more done.
