I had intended to put a mix of our photos on my last post but ended up with just mine so here are some of Doug's - of both the sculptures and the gardens.
I love the way an old deserted quarry can be taken and cleaned up and turned into a beautiful garden. There was one at Te Puna, near Tauranga, that I used to love and visit.
Are these sculptures at the Quarry Gardens new? I can't remember them there last year when I visited. I love these gardens, and it is amazing what they have achieved with this disused quarry.
The one in the top photo was "made" last year see here https://www.nzherald.co.nz/the-country/news/article.cfm?c_id=16&objectid=12046232 and the fourth one down in my previous post is permanent. The Sculpture Festival ended today.
Can you even imagine going back to the days when you had to buy film and have it developed? There would have been no chance that both of you would have been taking pictures!
No, it is wonderful being able to go around taking endless photos. My photos are hit and miss as it is often hard to see the picture I am taking in the glare but Doug has a viewfinder which he finds easier.
