We had the forecast rain all night and today. I looked out onto the deck this morning to find Bobby fast asleep on the two seater cane settee so we were pleased that he was dry even though he was not in his new hut.
Doug took him some food but when I went out he took off but went straight down and lay in his hut out of the rain.
Later on, I went outside to check my seedlings (which were all underwater) and found Bobby back on the deck although he took off again.
Doug has now made a second hut for the grey cat as there is not much room for them to share.
The election in America is sounding a bit more hopeful although not sure about all the legal work that is being threatened
And in winter Bobby might need a fleece blanket or a heater, lovely to know he is there in the morning,One of the blogs I visit had a stray cat that came, and he did get a heated cat house outside, but their winters are far colder than ours. Maybe by next June he will sleep inside. ( I am ever hopeful for any cat that needs company and a safe bed).

ReplyDeleteThe one (unnamed) that Doug has been feeding for some time came up to me this morning and rubbed against my legs. Always kept a distance before.
DeleteThat looks like a scene from my front porch. Two of my ferals like to sit on my covered front porch on the glider in spring and fall. They rather their houses in the winter where they are out of the weather and are warmer.
ReplyDeleteThings are looking much better in America today as the counting goes on. It is very close in many states, including mine. The dictator in charge is having a meltdown and throwing out lawsuits like candy. We are all worried what his cult followers will do when he loses (fingers crossed) . He is amping it up. He has changed so much in America and it won’t be easy to get it back.
I do hope it goes well for you there. As you say, his cult followers are a problem.
