GOOD LUCK AMERICA

I never took much notice of American politics until the last election which started off as a joke and ended up a catastrophe.

I still do not fully understand the American voting system but we are very worried about the outcome.  Last night we watched the final of the documentary "The Trump Show".  Recent news items have also been quite scary - Trump supporters surrounding the Biden campaign bus and then Trump saying they did nothing wrong and the sight of so many people who think Trump is some sort of God.

We have also been following the blog Octoberfarm.

The election is not until tomorrow, 4th November, our time and we will be thinking of all American's and in particular fellow bloggers.  I have borrowed the following from Octoberfarm

  1. I am very anxious, Susan. He will do everything legal, illegal, and immoral to win. This is no ordinary American election.

I do not believe that he had Covid as he has lied about everything.

    1. We agree with you, Arleen. There will be trouble whoever wins officially. Do stay safe.

  2. The election has been going on for weeks. I voted September 27. Tomorrow Is just the LAST day to vote. My state already has 90 percent of the last major election vote recorded, before tomorrow's in person voting. There is massive turnout. I'm hoping this is a sign of change, but if he loses, he will do as much damage as he can before January.

    1. This is the worrying part, he will not concede. I hope for all your sakes that it doesn't end in civil war.

  3. Although the voting ends tomorrow, they have to wait so long for the final result, and that could be juggled around to suit D.T. I do not trust anything over there and think of all my blog and other friends who live in the turmoil and disaster. We are so fortunate to be in NZ.

    1. I can imagine you would. Who would have thought America could come to this.

  5. I was reminded yesterday that I'd made a €5 bet with Kimbo on the outcome. I think I'm about to lose.... what on earth made me put my money on Trump. I suppose Kimbo had already chosen the alternative!

    1. I do hope you lose but Trump intends to be like his good mate Putin and stay there forever. Heaven help us.

  6. We can all hope that Trump is very, very resoundingly defeated. It is sad that out of a population of 330 millions of people, Biden is the best alternative they have to offer.

    1. I am not sure how these things are decided over there but it does seem odd that there is no-one else.
