LAKE WARO

Parkinson walk again this morning and it was back to Lake Waro in Hikurangi which is a lovely walk, first around the lake then around the lovely rocks.  There were just 9 of us today and it was very pleasant.  The day was a bit cloudy but it got to 27 degrees and is still 24 degrees at 7.50 p.m. which, I think, is quite hot for this time of year.

After the walk we went to the nearby cafe for refreshments and socialising.  Doug and I then went home, had lunch and headed to town as we needed to go to the library and make a few purchases.  By the time we got home it was about 4 p.m. so we put our feet up to read for a half hour before I planted the last of the tomatoes, some basil and chives, having removed the last of the broccoli this morning before the walk and we both did the watering.

Tomorrow we hope to get some more gardening done, do some baking and put the decorations up unless life gets in the way once again.

A couple of rock photos from this morning.

I liked this from "Octoberfarm" blog this morning

  1. Now that did give me a laugh. Wouldn't it be wonderful, when he finally leaves office, if the media simply stopped covering him? That won't happen though.

  2. Those are fabulous rocks.

I agree with David. It would be wonderful if the press completely ignored Trump after January 20th. They were the ones who gave us Trump when, even before he was the nominee in 2016, he was the first person they put on the news most nights. He has made an industry of pundits who talk about him day in and day out and he is the cash cow for them. They fed the narcissist and he made them rich. For the sake of our country, It is time to turn off what he craves the most, attention.

  4. I've never heard of those rocks but that may be a place for us to explore at some point.

    1. When we lived in the Far North (over 40 years we had no idea it was there although a friend did mention good toilets at the rocks but did not mention that you had to turn off the State Highway first.
