DAY 25 LOCKDOWN - JIGSAW PUZZLE

This morning we did housework and, while I was dusting, I came across a jigsaw puzzle.  It is years since I did a jigsaw but decided it would be a change from the crossword I was in the middle of so just before lunch I found a couple of trays and started.  It's not large but enjoyable.

While I was getting lunch Doug did a bit more of the autumn clear out of the garden and I got these last three roses of the season.

Tomorrow we find out whether we stay at Level 4 or go back down to Level 3 with more businesses able to open.

  1. I am doing jigsaws online, none here on the shelves now. I, too, wonder if we stay at Level 4 for a while longer, maybe, as 2 cases are a mystery ,one in Whanganui, one in Timaru, they are not sure how they contacted it. Lovely roses.

  2. That should pass an hour or two. I'm rather wishing I'd kept all the old jigsaws, but they were given away long ago.

    1. I think most of ours were given away so was surprised to find this one.

  3. I haven't done a jig saw puzzle in years! Nor do we have any, so I am unlikely to resume any time soon.

    1. We both had some jigsaws but when I moved here there was a big clear out (2 houses into one don't go) and I think this is the only one that survived most likely because of the subject as my late husband and I had several holidays on narrowboats.

  4. We have so many puzzles, there is always one on the game table. With the stay at home order many of our neighbors have borrowed puzzles from our collection.

  5. We are eagerly awaiting news of today's updates. The other half use to do jigsaws, think he needs to find some he hasn't done.

    1. The only thing I miss is the library - I have been rationing my reading although I am sure I could find something on the shelves here. Unless libraries open I don't think level 3 will make much difference to us.

  6. When our children were younger I had a huge collection of jigsaw puzzles, mostly bought from op shops. Now I have none at all. I sometimes wonder why I gave all of them away.
We too are awaiting the governments decision to see what is going to happen. I would be happy if more people could return to work as I know of several who are really struggling financially in lock-down.

    1. Yes, it is a really difficult decision - people want/need to return to work but if we go too early we could get more cases.

  7. Back in the UK they have suggested that oldies (such as me) should continue with the lockdown until a vaccine is found. Some hope!
