Whereas it has been 7 or 8 degrees in the early mornings it was twice that this morning at 15 degrees and is 18 degrees now at 1.30 p.m. The fire is lit but more because of the damp feel with the drizzle. Hopefully it will not be too bad for our walk tomorrow morning.
I am planning a lazy afternoon.
We had about 20 mins rain yesterday. It didn't do much good. No more on the horizon for 10 days at least.
ReplyDeleteAre you dry already.
DeleteNice to be able to get cosy and dry by the fire but I hope you get more rain very soon
ReplyDeleteYes, it is desperately needed but I do prefer dry days to this drizzle. Auckland appears to be more serious than us
DeleteWe had light drizzle all afternoon. It is like it doesn't know whether to rain or not, so it just drips instead.
ReplyDeleteSounds the same as here.
DeleteConstant drizzle will build up the water table levels and re-wet the earth properly instead of just running off...but you need something a bit heavier too. Pirate spoke to a friend in Bombay by Auckland...the first rain in six weeks there today...
ReplyDeleteYes, it is great for the garden but we need a lot more for the dam. Still, it is better than nothing.
