THE BUSH WALK AND PICNIC

After making the detour to the waterfall we continued our walk, to start with it was this long straight path.  What prompted me to suggest this walk was that we were talking to a friend recently and she had been with a Walking Group and mentioned that the paths had been upgraded.  Towards the end of the walk we came to a part still waiting to be finished but it was all so much better than last time we were here.

I like the fact that different areas have different native plants.  We were about half way on this Loop Walk when we took a path to the side and found this mossy area to sit and have our lunch.

This was my view when sitting

and this is the view looking skyward.  We were serenaded by a grey warbler and there were a couple of fantails fluttering above us.

This shows how high we climbed as these are some of the steps going down.

The walk only took us a couple of hours but we felt as though we had had a good workout with the terrain.

  1. Looks like it is being built into a great trail. I hope it will be well used in the future so more people can enjoy the beauty to be found in our bush.
